Hello, my name is Chris Lear. I’m the proud owner of Armco Scrap Metals LLC. My journey in the scrap metal industry began at the age of 14 when I first started working in the field. From those early days, I developed a passion for the trade and built a strong work ethic that has shaped my career.

Milestones

At 18, I achieved a significant milestone by earning my Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), which unlocked a wealth of opportunities in the scrap metal industry. By the age of 27, I took charge of the family business, stepping confidently into a leadership role and actively building upon the solid foundation that had been established. Throughout the years, I have gained extensive hands-on experience in every aspect of the business, including operating equipment and driving trucks.

This experience has allowed me to be fully involved in every aspect of the business and its operation, ensuring that we maintain high standards and provide the best service possible to our customers.

gratitude

I have always loved what I do, and I hold both my business and the relationships I’ve built with my customers very close to my heart. I am also deeply grateful and appreciative for Albert J. Rageis, who has been a mentor and father figure to me in this business and throughout my life.

His guidance has shaped who I am today and I wouldn’t be where I am without his support and wisdom.
